Spring Cruise 2011

This year we will arrive at the boat near the end of March and prepare the boat for a cruise to the Keys and back.

Along the way we will attend the Marine Trawler Owners Association's (MTOA) Southern Rendezvous at the Marriott Beach Resort on Hutchinson Island.

Last year we had planned on changing our base of operations in Marathon from Dockside inside Boot Key Harbor, to Banana Bay , but the Gulf oil spill changed our plans.  We plan to spend a month in Banana Bay this year.  Banana Bay (shown in the center of the picture below)  is a small marina on the Florida Bay side of the island; it has a pool, plus a hot tub and beach right next to the boat.  Snorkeling and kayaking are a few feet away. Dockside, our old home away from home in the Keys, is at the top left corner of the picture, just beyond the small islands in Boot Key Harbor.
